A Parent

As Jaden and Jaeda’s mum, I can say I’m never home and hardly there for my kids as I’m a workaholic entrepreneur mum. But I’ve had the pleasure and joy of being referred to teacher Minie by one of my clients, so have known teacher Minie for the past two years. She is an organized, practical, and driven teacher that inspires her students and supports their goals each day.

She has always pushed to become better as a teacher, committing to additional activities that she does, going an extra mile to make the studying environment more enjoyable. When she started teaching Jaden I was so worried as my son is so hyper and lacks concentration, but she found a way of dealing with him, and Jaden has improved in his Afrikaans and I no longer get messages everyday from school as I used to.

She furthered this by managing multiple tasks including taking my 4year old daughter on board, and preparing her for grade 1. Already the results are showing as when she started grade000 the teachers asked if she is already in day care which we said no it’s only extra lessons.

Teacher Minnie goes an extra mile and celebrates with kids every special events even helping them to make gifts for Mother’s Day and Easter. What I like is that she doesn’t make them buy, but instead she makes them make gifts using their own hands and recycle things which is teaching my kids to not throw away stuff, but recycling which we really need in this world we are leaving. I have also seen an improvement in manners which my son was lacking and it’s now helping my daughter to know that you thank someone and say please before asking for things.

I love how teacher Minnie communicates with my kids and her talent for making even tricky subjects understandable is truly superior, something reflected in the grades of Jaden the very first term she started teaching him. She also offers excellent skills in verbal and written communication with us. I always get home and I will have an idea of what the kids did and what challenges they have.
